Chicago, Illinois // February 1st, 2023 - Years of experience in successful software scale-ups combined with > 140 years of technical expertise in the after-sales of mechanical engineering companies - MARKT-PILOT is positioning itself for the future and heralding further expansion. Alex Morbe has been with MARKT-PILOT since the beginning and was responsible for the establishment of the Chicago office last year as Managing Director North America together with Tim Geyer. In the future, he will form the new management team of MARKT-PILOT together with founder Tobias Rieker.
Co-founder Amin Oumhamdi will remain with the company, but will withdraw from strategic management. "I want to focus more on the further development of our software again, and know that with the new line-up we have an extremely strong management team," said Oumhamdi.

MARKT-PILOT Management Team
Tobias Rieker is Co-Founder and Managing Director of MARKT-PILOT and is responsible for business development. He looks back on more than 7 years of professional experience in after sales of various mechanical engineering companies and revolutionizes an entire industry with MARKT-PILOT.
As Sales Director, Alex Morbe was one of the first employees at MARKT-PILOT and has served as Managing Director together with Tobias Rieker since January 2023. With over 15 years of experience in management positions in the after sales of mechanical engineering companies, he is responsible for the strategic direction of the company.
Marcel Michel looks back on 20 years of experience in various management positions in marketing. For the last three years he was Director of Corporate Marketing & Demand Generation at B2B SaaS provider LeanIX, where he was already part of a very successful SaaS scale-up.
Kai Wiemer has more than 15 years of experience in the tech industry, most of it in start-ups and scale-ups. Most recently, he was VP Engineering at SoSafe, a cyber security awareness scale-up, where he was responsible for the IT strategy as well as the setup of the Development, Quality Assurance, Data, Cloud, Platform and Application Security departments.
Dr. Martin Ruth has already joined MARKT-PILOT at the beginning of 2022 with nine years of consulting experience and is responsible for the areas of Finance, Operations, HR and Strategy. Most recently, he worked as a project manager at the Boston Consulting Group. His focus there was on strategic consulting for industrial and energy companies.
Tim Geyer joined MARKT-PILOT in 2021. He graduated with a Master's degree in International Business Development from ESB Business School and was jointly responsible for setting up the Chicago office. He has a deep understanding of the US market and is responsible for further growth in US in his new role as Head of North America.
